Carlsbad is a large coastal community that stretches for 7 miles along the Pacific Ocean. Located north of Encinitas and south of Oceanside, this city offers many opportunities for an upper middle class lifestyle. There are four distinct communities within this city. 1) Coastal ‘Olde’ Carlsbad 2) La Costa 3) Aviara 4) East Carlsbad

The ‘Olde’ section of town is west of Interstate 5 with homes starting in the high $500′s up to beach front homes in the millions of dollars.

‘La Costa’ is a mile east of the I-5 freeway and was built around the world famous La Costa Resort. Here you will find older homer with nice lot sizes as well as several new home communities such as ‘La Costa Oaks’ and ‘La Costa Greens.’ Hones here start in the $500′s and go up into the 2 million dollar range.

‘Aviara’ is a popular newer home community just north of La Costa. This area features modern homes, gated communities and planned unit developments. Home prices typically start in the high $500′s.

‘East Carlsbad’ is also known as Calavera Hills. This community is more inland, and thus, more affordable with home prices starting in the $400′s range.
