El Cajon is a large city 20 miles east of San Diego and comprises much of the East County. While many San Diego residents flock to the coast, others enjoy the hiking and biking options available the area’s peaks and valleys.
El Cajon real estate features every type of home out there including manufactured homes, condos, entry level houses, and luxury homes on lots of acreage. With a wide array of neighborhoods, home prices vary substantially.
Lower lying valley areas offer affordable houses as low as $350K. As you move up into the hills, prices increase as you find large family homes, many with large lots and views. As with other cities, there are numerous subdivisions and communities. Here are some of the main ones:
Blossom Valley – located at East end of the city. Offers homes in the hills with many luxury homes and horse properties.
Fletcher Hills – is a community in El Cajon with moderately priced houses and rolling hills.
