Mira Mesa
Mira Mesa real estate is modestly priced, and consists primarily of houses and condos. There are few town homes in this part of town. This community attracts young families due to its affordability and central location. Real estate in this community is located both North and South of Mira Mesa Blvd which offers strip malls full of shops on every block.
Sandwiched between Highways 805 and 15, Mira Mesa was first developed in the 1950’s to support the Naval Air Station located here. The majority of houses were built in the 1970’s. The air station is now a Marine Base. This community is located east of Sorrento Valley and west of Scripps Ranch.
Houses in this community begin in the mid $300’s and go as high as $600K. The homes on the East side of Mira Mesa, those closer to the I-15 freeway, are newer than those on the west side.Condos range in the $100 – 300K price range. This is an excellent choice for first time buyer desiring a safe neighborhood, decent schools and close proximity to all areas of San Diego
