Commercial businesses and retails shops are evident throughout the village area. Adjacent to the village is Shelter Island which is home to a yacht club., businesses that cater to the sailing industry as well as seafood restaurants. Humphrey’s is a popular venue here with outdoor concerts during the summer month.
Liberty Station is the newest of neighborhoods. Formerly known as the Naval Training Center, it has become a mixed use community of shops, businesses, and contemporary homes.
Point Loma homes were built primarily from the 1950′s – 1980′s. Home styles in this community include English Tudor, Spanish, French, and Contemporary. Homes start in the high $500′s and work their way up to the multi-millions of dollars.
There are several condo/townhome communities that I would like to note. The first is the Yacht Club complex which is close to the Yacht Club and Shelter Island. Anchor Cove is a contemporary 2004 townhome complex in Liberty Station. Le Rondelet and La Playa towers both offer high end living with water views. Each of these complexes offers a vast array of amenities for the discerning buyer. Condo prices start in the $300′s and go over a million dollars for waterfront homes.
