Rancho Penasquitos is a San Diego sandwiched between Mira Mesa and Rancho Benrardo west of the I-15 Freeway and accessible throught I-56. With rolling hills and lovely views, Rancho Penasquitos is located in the award winning Poway school district. The reputation for award winning schools makes this a popular family oriented community.
Close to Sorrento Valley, one of San Diego’s business centers, Rancho Peansquitos offers a viable commute and gentle lifestyle for all. Primarily an area of single family residences, homes here were initially built in the 1970′s. With backyard, upgrades and home additions, these homes still offer great starter homes for those just starting out and seeking good schools.
In 2003, the popular communities of ‘Torrey Highlands’ and ‘Torrey Hills’ were constructed offering contemporary elegance with lavish appointments. Located off the I-56 these homes offer a more upscale lifestyle with brand new schools and infrastructure. Rancho Penasquitos offers many similarities as a community to both Rancho Bernardo and Poway. Its advantage is that it is more central and thus an easier commute.
There are a few condo and townhome communities in Rancho Penasquitos, but it is primarily an area of single family family homes. Older single story starter homes may be found in the $400K range with newer luxury homes in the $600-800K price range.
