San Carlos
San Carlos is a quiet, bedroom community comprised predominantly of houses with only a few condominium complexes. It is situated north of highway 8 and SDSU University.
San Carlos real estate is suitable choice for first time buyers and those in the median price ranges that still want to live near the central section of town. San Carlos housing consists primarily of homes built in the 1960’s – 1970’s. Many are small single story houses that make great ‘first time buyer’ choices.
Local recreation opportunities include hiking up Cowles Mountain, and in Mission Trails Park, a large urban park well enjoyed by San Diego’s residents. Additional pleasures for San Carlos home buyers include fishing, bicycling, and golfing.
House prices typically start in the low $300’s and work their way up to into the $600’s. Condos begin in the $200K range.
